What measures are currently in place at the campsite in relation to COVID?

The safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff remains at the heart of everything we do and therefore we continue to request that guests wear face coverings when checking in at Park Reception and whilst using public indoor areas and our shared toilet facilities.

Hand sanitiser units and enhanced cleaning measures around the campsite will remain in place and we ask that you maintain a respectful distance from other guests to give everyone staying with us peace of mind.

What happens if a member of my party has a positive COVID result or is required to self-isolate?

COVID is now a known event like other illnesses and refunds will not be issued for stays that are cancelled due to isolation or positive tests. We recommend you include UK/ camping holidays on your travel insurance policy and we can gladly provide cancellation invoices for your paperwork.

If you do need to cancel due to Track and Trace isolation or a positive test then we will do our best to move your booking (up until 02.01.23) but availability cannot be guaranteed. We will need evidence of a Track and Trace notification or positive PCR/ Lateral Flow Test result to make the transfer. For group bookings, this will only be a transfer for the pitch, pod or cabin affected by the isolation/ positive test

I have booked a pitch, when can I check-in? And when do I have to check out?

Pitches are available from 12:00 and we ask that they are vacated by 11:00 on the day of departure.

Can I stay later on my pitch than 11.00am?

Should you wish to stay longer, late check out is available upon request at a cost of £15.00 per pitch, allowing you to stay on your pitch until 17:00. This can only be booked with Park Reception 24 hours before departure and is subject to availability.

I have booked a Glamping Pod/ Shepherd’s Cabin, when can I check-in? And when do I have to check out?

You can check-in to your Glamping Pod or Shepherd’s Cabin from 16:00 and ask that they are vacated by 11:00 on the day of departure.

How many people do the Glamping Pods sleep?

Our Posh Pods are limited to 2 people – we have 3 x double pods and 1 x twin pod. And our Standard Pods can sleep up to 4 people, however please remember that you’ll need to bring all your usual camping equipment and bedding as our Standard Pods are unfurnished. Do you offer a discounted ticket to visit Banham Zoo?

Yes! Our guests get discounted tickets to Banham Zoo – £5.00 off the standard price (excluding donation and tickets for children under 3). All you need to do is enter our special promo code on the Banham Zoo website, which you will have received with your Booking Confirmation email, to redeem your discount.

Make sure you have your Booking Confirmation for the campsite either printed or on your phone as you will need to show this upon entry to Banham Zoo, along with your e-ticket.

Do we have to book our Banham Zoo tickets in advance?

Yes! Guests are asked to purchase their tickets in advance online, simply select your preferred date and entrance time at the checkout.

Is it ok to bring my dog and is there an additional charge?

Dogs are very welcome to the Park on the understanding that they will never be left unattended on a pitch or anywhere else on the Park, and are kept on a lead at all times. The dog exercise area should be used and fouling in any area must be cleared up immediately. Dog bins are provided and spare bags are available from Park Reception.

We do offer dog-friendly glamping in our Shepherd’s Cabins for which there is a charge of £20.00 per dog (maximum of two small dogs under 6kg or 1 medium/ large dog). Dogs are not permitted to stay in our Glamping Pods.

If I have booked an electric pitch, how long does my electric lead need to be?

We would recommend 20 metres. Please note, you must not join cables together as it is not safe.

I have booked a non-electric pitch, where are these pitches located?

Our non- electric pitches (standard & XL) are located in Chestnut Corner or Oak Corner. These pitches are not marked out so feel free to find a suitable spot to pitch. There is a limit of a maximum 12 pitches per ‘Corner’ so there’s plenty of space. Please ensure that a 6m safety gap is still left between pitches even if pitching together.

How large can my Caravan/ Motorhome/ Tent be on an electric pitch?

A maximum of 6m x 6m on a standard pitch, however we do have a number of XL pitches if you require a larger pitch to accommodate something bigger which allows up to 10m x 8m.

Can I bring a gazebo?

Yes – there is an additional cost of £5.00 per night and the gazebo must be pitched within the constraints of your allocated pitch and not the 6 metre fire safety gap between pitches. We recommend parking your car in our car park to allow enough space.

Can I bring a BBQ?

BBQs and covered fire pits are permitted but must be raised off the grass and supervised at all times. They must not be used on either the Pod or Cabin terraces. BBQ ash and fire pit waste is to be disposed of in the metal bins provided when cold.

Do you allow late arrivals?

We do accept late arrivals after the Park Reception has closed (17:00 weekdays, 14:00 weekends) up until 20:30 providing that any remaining balance has been paid 14 days before arrival. Please check in with our onsite Park Wardens, who are located on the left just through the Park entrance, to be directed to your pitch and to collect your welcome brochure and wifi details.

Can I park next to my pitch/ Glamping Pod/ Shepherd’s Cabin?

Parking for 1 vehicle next to your pitch/ pod/ shepherd’s cabin is permitted. Any other vehicles or visiting guests are requested to use the car park located outside the Park Reception.

Do you have WiFi?

Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the main park and Laurel Meadow. Our wifi coverage doesn’t cover Grove Meadow at the moment. If you would like WiFi access and have booked to stay on Grove Meadow, please call Park Reception on 01953 715319 and we will do our best to move your booking to the main park.
