GLOW ADVENTURES

This February half term, Applewood Countryside Park is set to sparkle! Join us for Glow Adventures, a week of cosy, glowing fun for the whole family.


Wander our Magical Twilight Lantern Walk, toast marshmallows, and take part in our Glow-Up Your Pitch challenge to brighten up the park with your own colourful creations. Get crafty with glow sticks and lantern-making, follow our light-up treasure trail, and enjoy stories under the stars.


Wrap up warm, bring your sense of wonder, and get ready for a glowing getaway to remember!


Best of all – there’s no extra charge, all activities are included with your stay.

    FRIDAY 13TH FEBRUARY

    Starlight Story Circle | 4–5pm | Games Den

    We're kicking off Glow Adventures with a cosy starlight story in the Games Den. 


    SATURDAY 14TH FEBRUARY

    Valentine’s Day Card Making | 10–11am | Park Reception

    Get creative with Valentine’s Day Card Making - perfect for little hands and big hearts


    Glow Treasure Hunt & Marshmallow Toasting | 5.30–6.30pm | Games Den

    Grab your torch and head out on our Glow Treasure Hunt, followed by marshmallow toasting by the fire.


    TUESDAY 17TH FEBRUARY

    Glow Crafts – Scratch Art Glasses & Bracelet Making | 3–4pm | Park Reception

    Time to get crafty with a glow-tastic twist! Design your own scratch-art glasses and colourful glow bracelets. 


    ✨ WEDNESDAY 18TH FEBRUARY

    Glow Crafts – Neon Bunting Making | 3–4pm | Park Reception

    Create bright neon bunting to decorate your pitch, pod or cabin. A lovely chance to get creative together and prepare for the big Glow-Up judging later in the week… 


    THURSDAY 19TH FEBRUARY

    Glow Crafts – UV Paint Pebble Art | 3–4pm | Park Reception

    Paint pebbles using UV-reactive paints and watch your artwork glow. Great for all ages and a brilliant keepsake from your Glow Adventures stay. 


    FRIDAY 20TH FEBRUARY

    Glow Games | 5.30–6.30pm | Games Den

    Our Glow Games session brings the energy with light-up games and family challenges in the Games Den. Perfect for burning off some evening energy! 


    SATURDAY 21ST FEBRUARY – the Glow Adventures finale!

    Jam Jar Lantern Making | 3–4pm | Park Reception

    Create a jam jar lantern to light the way for the evening’s adventures.


    Magical Twilight Lantern Walk | 5–6pm | Starts at Games Den

    Join us for a Magical Twilight Lantern Walk, wander through Applewood as the park sparkles after dark.


    Glow-Up Your Pitch Judging & Prize Giving | 6-7pm | Games Den

    It’s time for the Glow-Up Your Pitch judging, followed by a celebratory prize giving for your brightest creations!

EVENT FAQS

  • Is there any cost to take part in the Glow Adventures activities?

    No - all Glow Adventures activities are included with your stay, at no extra charge. Just turn up and enjoy the fun!

  • Are the craft materials provided?

    Yes! All craft materials are provided, so there’s no need to bring anything along for the craft sessions - just your creativity.

  • Do we need to bring anything with us?

    Just a couple of small things for certain activities:

    • Starlight Story Circle – we recommend bringing a blanket and a camp chair to get comfy
    • Glow Treasure Hunt – please bring a torch so you can take part fully

    Everything else is ready and waiting for you.


  • Do I need to book any of the activities in advance?

    No booking is required, all activities are drop-in. That said, it really helps our team to have an idea of numbers, so if you and your family would like to take part in any of the activities, just let us know when you arrive and check in at Park Reception.

  • Are the activities suitable for all ages?

    Yes! Glow Adventures is designed to be family-friendly, with a mix of calm, creative and energetic activities suitable for a range of ages.
